Adorable Dog Bandanas…and a Gamecock Surprise!

Crafts

How adorable are these dog bandanas?!

My newest grandchild is on the way and my  daughter asked me to make dog bandanas for her to share the news on Facebook. She specifically wanted the black/red plaid. It was sooo easy. You can do it, too! Disclosure: This post contains affiliate links for your convenience. Read my full disclosure policy here  for more details. I searched high and low in local stores, but couldn’t find exactly what she wanted, so off to Amazon I went. Success! Then, I used my Silhouette Cameo to add the words “Big Brother,” which she specifically requested.

First, I measured the bandanas to determine how large the letters should be. I used the Silhouette Cameo to cut out the white heat transfer vinyl. I don’t have a heat press, so I used an iron to apply the vinyl. Easy-peasy!

And a short time later, here they are sporting their new bandanas.

Grab some bandanas here and put your cameo to work creating your own cuteness!

Seriously, folks, this is why I love my cameo so much. Once you get the hang of it, you can whip out personalized items in no time flat!

But I didn’t stop there.

I wanted to add a surprise for her, too. Cuz I love her and all.

Now, we’re huge Gamecock fans around here, and she’s a USC alumna. Again, I couldn’t find exactly what I wanted for her. Not even on the entire web! Again, Cameo to the rescue.

So I picked up a plain black maternity top from Target and used the Cameo to customize it just for her. Naturally, the shirt will get stretched. A lot! So I used stretchy htv instead of the usual htv.

Here she is sporting her new Gamecock In Training maternity shirt! Gotta love that bump! Oh, and….”Go ‘Cocks!”

I use my Silhouette CAMEO to do all of my cutting, but you can replicate what you see here cutting by hand! That said, if you have been curious about a cutting machine for a while, I can tell you it is without a doubt the best crafting tool I’ve ever used.
