Organize your baby’s closet with these super easy closet dividers.
Every mom knows you need closet dividers!!!
A baby’s closet can be a nightmare if not properly organized! The clothes are so tiny, and they go through them at a maddening pace. And in the foggy haze of no sleep for months on end, the 6 month outfit looks just like the 9 month outfit. Unless, of course, you’ve organized their closet already.
My daughter is getting ready for her first baby’s grand appearance in July. What a super cute room she’s created for the little one. Oh, and by the way, it’s a BOY!
These closet dividers I made !for her were so easy. You can do it, too! Disclosure: This post contains affiliate links for your convenience. Read my full disclosure policy here for more details. As an Amazon Affiliate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Yet again, Silhouette Cameo to the rescue!!! Y’all do know I love my Cameo, right?
Simply cut out your cardstock using my free file found in my resource library.
You’ll be cutting from one piece of cardstock. No scoring or layer grouping/ungrouping is needed—this is a very easy project to cut!
I used the Silhouette Cameo to personalize my dividers, but you could also use stickers. Or even let big brother/sister do some artwork on them. How adorable would that be!!!
I wanted mine to be just a bit more durable, so I ran them through a laminator afterwards.
This is the one I have and I just love it. It’s the most basic model, but it’s done everything I’ve needed so far.
If you do use the laminator, but sure to offset the original pattern slightly so the machine cuts larger than the actual cardstock. Otherwise, the edges won’t stay sealed. An offset of .05 worked for me.
I learned how to create my own custom cutting files by enrolling in Jennifer Maker’s course, “A Cut Above.” She taught me how to easily create or modify cut files, so now the sky’s the limit! And you can use any cutting machine you like, not just the CAMEO.
If crafting is not your style, check out these closet dividers.
And so, here’s the finished closet divider project! What do you think? Do you think they will be useful to a new mom?
Oh, and if you know an expecting Mom yourself, let her know about this totally free Beginning Prenatal course . It’s written a labor and delivery nurse, so she knows what she’s talking about. She also has a FREE Organizational Course.
This freebie download will give you a pdf file to print out and use as a template (for cutting with scissors) as well as an SVG file for use with a cutting machine such as Cameo or Cricut!
If you make custom closet dividers, I’d really love to see them! You can email your photos to [email protected] or post them on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/missaudreygail.
